Chapter Board - Minnesota
Paul Kaufer was instrumental in the grassroots effort to bring a PCA chapter to Minnesota in the three years leading up to the advent of PCA-Minnesota in 2013.
As a board member, Kaufer said he aims to “increase awareness through my network and get people involved at any level that will support and help grow the cause.”
Along with bolstering support for PCA, Kaufer also said he hopes to become a trainer. In that role, Kaufer can be on the ground working with parents, coaches, officials and athletes—all roles he has held throughout his life in athletics.
“I was a three-sport athlete in high school and fortunate to earn a scholarship and play football at Minnesota State–Mankato,” Kaufer said. “I coached high school football for two years and spent 15 years in the Stillwater area as a coach, commissioner and Vice President of the St. Croix Valley Athletic Association.”
Kaufer’s hard work and passion did not go unnoticed. He was recognized by the St. Croix Valley Athletic Association as a recipient of the George Olson Award, a lifetime achievement award for volunteer service.
He has also officiated four years of high school football, and has been lauded for making an impact in all facets of youth athletics in the St. Croix Valley area for his efforts in being a parent, coach and official.
Kaufer is a father of two boys, Corey and Jordyn, and is married to his wife of 26 years, Kelli.
