Brett Hansen
Brett Hansen is Bally Sports Arizona’s Sr. Director of Communications & Marketing and has been with the regional sports television network (formerly FOX Sports Arizona) since July 2000. He was originally hired as its Director of Public Relations and was elevated to Director of Communications & Marketing in 2006. In addition to 21 years with the network, he has also worked for three collegiate athletic departments and two professional sports teams.
In his current role with Bally Sports Arizona, Hansen directs the network’s external and internal communications strategies, as well as its marketing and on-air promotion and oversees its social media efforts that help build its brand and image. Bally Sports Arizona is seen in Arizona & New Mexico and is the local television home to the Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Suns, Arizona Coyotes, Phoenix Mercury, Phoenix Rising and AIA Championship events.
Prior to his current role, Hansen worked in University of Arizona’s athletic department from 1995-00. He was the Sports Information Director for the UA men’s basketball team for five season and was responsible for its media relations during the 1996-97 NCAA Championship season. He also worked closely with the football team during his time in Tucson and before his career at the University of Arizona, he spent two years at San Diego State University athletics, working in its Sports Information Office.
