Wally Haas is the founder and Board Chair of Coaching Corps. A love of sports and community service guides him in his long-standing involvement in business, philanthropic and educational organizations. From 1981-1995 Wally’s family owned the Oakland A’s. During that time Wally was the team’s Executive Vice President (1980-87), Chief Operating Officer (1988-89), and then CEO and Chairman (1993-95). 

Wally is the Board Chair of the Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund, and former President of the Elise and Walter Haas Fund. He served on the Board of Directors of Levi Strauss & Co. and was a member of the company’s Corporate Ethics and Social Responsibility Committee from 1995 until 2006. He is a former Trustee of the Golden Gate National Parks Association, the San Francisco Urban School and the Marin Country Day School. As an avid and loyal Cal fan, he has contributed his leadership to many of the university’s fundraising efforts.
