Ted Griggs currently serves as Managing Director of Gravity Media USA , a live event production company which produces college sports for ESPN, Fox Sports, and CBS  Sports.  He is also founder, and Executive Producer of Seven Feathers Films, a documentary and feature film company. 

From 2016 through 2021, Ted was President, Group Leader and Strategic Production and Programming, NBC Sports Regional Networks.  He oversaw eight networks live event coverage, digital content, and led the production of documentaries on the intersection of sports and social issues such as gender equity, mental health, and overzealous focus on youth sports.

From 2006-2016, Griggs led Comcast SportsNet Bay Area and Comcast SportsNet California (now NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California) stewarding their coverage of three San Francisco Giants World Series Championships, the Warriors NBA Title runs, and the Sharks Stanley Cup Finals appearance.  He first joined the network in 1998 as Vice President of Production and Operations. 

Before joining NBC Sports Regional Networks, Griggs spent 15 years (1982-1997) at Golden Gate Productions in a variety of roles including producing John Madden’s Super Bowl Specials and documentaries for TIME Magazine. 

Griggs was named nine times to San Jose Mercury News’ “Bay Area’s 25 Most Powerful Sports People” and was named #1 overall in 2009.

A native of Hayward, Calif., and a graduate of Moreau Catholic High School and San Francisco State University (where he was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame), Griggs resides Marin County with his wife Amy.  They have three adult children.
