Partnership Manager, West Territory (Pacific Northwest)
Spencer joined Positive Coaching Alliance in 2018 as Partnership Manager of the Portland Chapter. As the Partnership Manager for PCA-Portland, Spencer is responsible for prospecting, developing and closing partnership opportunities. Key in this process is demonstrating the value of PCA programs for youth sport organizations and schools, resulting in an increased PCA partnership base for PCA-Portland.
Spencer is a graduate of the University of Oregon, with a Journalism and Film Degree. Spencer grew up a multi-sport athlete, playing baseball, soccer and football, but having a true passion for basketball and golf, both of which he still plays regularly. Before PCA, Spencer helped prospect and develop custom sport finishes on football helmets for the NFL, NCAA, CFL and prominent high school programs. Spencer's also an experienced sports writer covering the Portland Trail Blazers and other NBA news. Spencer has been invested in sports for most of his life and can 'talk shop' about many professional leagues from around the world. He believes that as society becomes more technologically dependent, sports provide some of life's greatest lessons in integrity, camaraderie, and perseverance. He is excited to work for an organization that is dedicated to making a positive difference in the world!
Besides his love for sports, Spencer also has a passion for filmmaking and movies. He loves to travel, with Venice, London and Copenhagen being his favorite cities in the world. Lastly, he loves spending time with his wife, Samantha, and their two dogs Buster and Newman.
