Brad Geier is a founder, co-owner and co-managing partner of Merlone Geier Partners, a private real estate investment firm focused on the acquisition, development and redevelopment of retail and mixed-use properties on the west coast. The firm has raised $4.3 billion of discretionary equity capital over the past 27 years, acquiring over 165 properties. Prior to the formation of Merlone Geier, Mr. Geier held senior positions at Trammell Crow Company and Taubman Company.
Mr. Geier graduated from Stanford University in 1979, earning an undergraduate degree in history with departmental honors. In 1983 he earned an MBA degree from Harvard University. Mr. Geier is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute. He is a director of H.G. Fenton Company, an Emiritus Trustee of Stanford University, a Director of Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, and serves on the Policy Advisory Board of the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate at the University of San Diego. In addition, he is an honorary lifetime trustee and a past President of the Board of Trustees of The Bishop’s School in La Jolla, California. He lives with his wife, Cathy, in Rancho Santa Fe, CA and is the father of five grown children and seven grandchildren
