Brad Geier is a founder, co-owner and Managing Partner of Merlone Geier Partners, a private real estate investment firm focused on the acquisition, development and redevelopment of retail and mixed-use properties on the west coast. The firm has raised $4.5 billion of discretionary equity capital over the past 30 years, acquiring over 175 properties aggregating to 28.6 million square feet. Prior to the formation of Merlone Geier, Mr. Geier held senior positions at Trammell Crow Company and Taubman Company.

Mr. Geier earned an AB in history, with departmental honors, from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Geier is an Emeritus Trustee of Stanford University, a Director of Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, a director of Positive Coaching Alliance, and a member of the Policy Advisory Board of the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate at the University of San Diego. In addition, he is an honorary lifetime trustee and a past President of the Board of Trustees of The Bishop’s School in La Jolla, California. He lives with his wife, Cathy, in Rancho Santa Fe, CA and is the father of five grown children and thirteen grandchildren.
