Melissa D'Angelo

Melissa D’Angelo grew up in South Huntington NY. There she competed in youth sports swimming, volleyball and field hockey. D’Angelo was a 3 sport athlete at State University College at Oneonta, Field Hockey, Diving and Lacrosse. She has been a HS Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach for 20+ years. Women's Lacrosse and Field Hockey official 25+ years. Currently in addition to coaching at the HS level, D’Angelo is coaching youth Soccer and Basketball
Nationally, D’Angelo has been equally involved in the great sport of Lacrosse. For the past 7 years she has been on the US Lacrosse Board (USL) Youth Council Board of Directors, and she currently holds the position of 1st Vice President. For 6 of those years she has sat on the USL Board of Directors, where she currently holds an At large position on the Executive Board.
One of the many involvements at USL Board of Directors is she is on the core committee for Coaches Education They have helped to provide coaching tools across the country both with online programs as well as in person clinics. This group has been instrumental in creating a Coaches Certification Program for Lacrosse.
D’Angelo was inducted in to the Long Island Metropolitan Lacrosse Hall of Fame Class of 2007
D’Angelo, a Realtor, resides in Cold Spring Harbor with Anthony her husband of 20 years and their two children Alexandra and Anthony
