Colleen Coyne is the President of the NWHL Champion Boston Pride, an Olympic Gold Medalist (U.S. Women's Olympic Hockey Nagano, 1998), an experienced business leader, and the mother of three active children. Colleen has won accolades on and off the ice. An all-league defender at the University of New Hampshire, Colleen earned a spot on the roster on four U.S. Women's National Teams, competed in three World Championships and anchored the defense for the U.S. gold medal-winning team in Nagano in 1998.
As a member of that team, in 1999 Colleen was honored by the Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame and in 2009, was honored by the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame. In 2005 she was elected to the USA Hockey Board of Directors and has served on the Executive Committee and is a current member of the Women's National Team Advisory Committee. Beyond hockey, Colleen has a wealth of business and marketing experience from innovative companies including Microsoft, Hubspot, and the DRIVN Coaching Platform. In 2021, Colleen became President of The Boston Pride, a professional women's ice hockey team based in Boston, Massachusetts, competing in the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL). The NWHL was the first professional women’s hockey league in North America to pay its players. The mission of the league is to fuel the continued growth of the sport and brand of pro women’s hockey. Colleen will bring her experience as an Olympic athlete, innovative executive, coach, and sports parent to Positive Coaching Alliance.
