Eddie Betson
"Coach Eddie is more than a coach, he is a friend and true hero to each one of these kids he coaches! He uses the time before and after practice to talk to each player- about their day, their schoolwork, their friends. He has a very positive attitude and it is contagious to those around him. He is a leader in every facet. Rather than taking a defeating approach to a grim health diagnosis, coach Betson, chose to be strong and courageous by not letting the diagnosis define him nor defeat him. He still brought his same passion, energy, and knowledge to the field everyday, and he has taught his team that they can, and in many cases, must be strong when faced with adversity."
