Danielle King
Soccer Coach
PCA Trainers
Danielle King became involved in youth soccer coaching while serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Comoros (Southeastern Africa). While there, she started a soccer club for her female students, as they did not have access to playing sports previously. Her time in Comoros influenced her passion for sport-based youth development and that is what led her to South Bronx United, a nonprofit organization that uses soccer to empower youth through academic, college, and workforce development programs. While working as the social worker at SBU she completed her Grassroots 11v11 coaching license and has coached the girls U11 team in tournaments, as well as worked with every middle school team in social emotional learning skills groups that use soccer as the basis for all learning.
