Amber Gravely has had a love for team sports since she started playing at the early age of four. She grew to become a successful high school basketball player and won many honors including league MVP and first-team All-CIF.  She earned a full scholarship with Loyola Marymount University’s division-one women’s basketball team where was a captain, and a leader of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Amber graduated from LMU with a B.A. in psychology and went on to earn her M.A. in journalism from USC. She worked in sports broadcasting and television for several years before being guided to work as an educator, administrator, consultant, and coach for both public, and independent schools throughout California. Amber considers herself a lifelong learner and she is currently completing a doctoral educational leadership program at USC, with a concentration in educational psychology.  She is now a social entrepreneur and founder of the educational equity services organization S.O.S. Student Opportunities for Success. She is dedicated to helping train coaches and educators in the importance of social justice, play equity, and trauma-informed sports-based youth development.
