Position PROFILE

The National Lead Trainer is a professional-level facilitator and current PCA-certified trainer who embodies and trains others in PCA’s ideal Trainer profile:

  • Has thorough knowledge of all PCA workshop content and constituents,
  • Shows reliability and commitment to PCA’s administrative procedures & expectations,
  • Possesses a seasoned ability to engage diverse learners, and

The National Lead Trainer recruits, trains, certifies, and supports PCA’s contingent Trainer national workforce in collaboration with PCA headquarters’ Training Team and Human Resources.

  • You’ll be leading all new trainer initial training & development:
    • Facilitating the training course for PCA Trainer candidates of varying backgrounds and proficiency levels on PCA content, Organization philosophy & values, and group facilitation skills.
    • Recommending program design changes to the VP, Training as needed.
    • In collaboration with Training Team staff, placing PCA Associate Trainers in workshops and evaluating & supporting them through the Trainer certification process.
    • Leading the Associate Trainer Certification process including workshop assignments through completion of initial certification and tracking Trainer progress.
  • Leading trainer workforce recruitment & onboarding: In partnership with HR standards, you’ll be strategizing on the hiring plan and recruiting new Trainers while incorporating DEI best practices:  Developing metrics, screening applications, performing interviews /auditions /evaluation of candidates, & managing offers and contracts as needed.
  • Facilitating PCA workshops locally as needed and may travel outside of the area occasionally to train as assigned.
  • Assisting the VP, Training with additional Trainer certifications as needed.
  • Assisting the VP, Training with workshop observations and check-ins with Trainers post-workshop.
  • Assisting your fun Training Team colleagues with Trainer virtual and in-person events, i.e. topic selection, planning, leading.
  • Performing supportive team administrative duties as directed, including but not limited to, managing the Trainer social media page(s), assigning workshops in Workshop Manager, supporting Trainers with questions or employment needs if VP is unavailable, etc.
  • Staying informed of current training & facilitation best practices, Trainer experience, potential candidate sources, and current relevant news and content to innovate and recommend to Training team leadership.

Qualifications & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required related to education, learning, development, or similar strongly preferred.
  • 5-7 years minimum professional experience in teaching and/or group learning facilitation.
  • PCA Certified Trainer Certification required, and has demonstrated proficiency in performing PCA workshops.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills required.
  • Prior intermediate-level experience working with technology and business process workflows using cloud technology solutions, Google Suite, PowerPoint, and databases.
  • Demonstrated professional experience & skill in providing concise, empathetic, and effective constructive feedback to adults.
  • Recruiting & hiring experience preferred, but a natural connector personality required.
  • Wide base of multi-sports knowledge, multi-level coaching experience or knowledge.
  • Proven effective written and verbal communication skills with diverse people and in conflict situations. Can represent the Organization in a calm and effective manner.
  • Bilingual/Fluent in Spanish is a plus.

$75,000-$85,000 Annually
