As part of the Sports Can Battle Racism initiative this past year, PCA has been focused on efforts to generate conversation and positive change regarding racism, equity and inclusivity in youth sports and our communities.

Through our SCBR Roundtables we have worked towards facilitating teachable moments for our community by partnering with coaches and leaders across the country, providing them with tools needed to foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Promoting sportsmanship is a positive step in the right direction, however, it is critical to teach our children “humanship”  if we ever hope to root out racism and ignorance. Therefore, we believe the positive and inclusive actions of coaches, parents, student-athletes, organizational, and school leaders throughout the country are the best chance we have to begin to tear down an age-old trend of systemic inequities and biases.

As a celebration of these efforts, we invite you to take part in our free Sports Can Battle Racism roundtable, a deep dive into how to get involved in the initiative, is happening this Wednesday, June 9th from 10am PT / 1pm ET – 11am PT / 2pm ET.
