Positive Coaching Alliance - Los Angeles

We are excited to announce our THIRD Annual Fundraising Event, The POSITIVE IMPACT AWARDS, honoring fifteen (15) Triple-Impact Competitor® student-athletes with college scholarships. These are student-athletes who make themselves, their teammates and the game better. In some cases, they are the first in their family to go to college. This is our fourth year of providing college scholarships to student-athletes in Southern California.

All Event Passes provide access to the East Terrace at Dignity Health Sports Park for the event and during the game.

Food and drinks included with Event Passes. Live and Silent Auction items.
Event starts at 5:00pm
Galaxy Game Starts at 7:30pm
Student-Athletes to be recognized on-field at halftime.

#14 Joy Fawcett will tell her journey that led to playing every minute in three World Cups and two Olympics! Joy holds the single season scoring record at Cal, Coached at UCLA and was elected into the U.S. Women’s National Team Hall Of Fame in 2009. Joy is the original "Soccer Mom" giving birth to two of her three children while still playing and actually playing herself in the movie “Soccer Mom”.

"Off the field, she showed all of us just how loving and compassionate she was in the way she taught and nurtured her family," said Mia Hamm. Growing up in Southern California, Joy played Club Soccer in Manhattan Beach and High School Soccer at Edison High School in Huntington Beach, a current PCA-LA Partner.

Joy is on PCA’s National Advisory Board with fellow ‘99ers teammates Julie Foudy, Brandi Chastain and Kristine Lilly.



Community Impact Award to be presented to the
Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation

Dedicated to assisting the community in which the team lives, works and plays. Through soccer programming that promotes inclusion for all athletes, education opportunities, and a strong spirit of volunteerism, LAGF is proud to facilitate over 150 events annually and has donated over $3.5 million dollars to support the local Los Angeles community. The LA Galaxy Foundation was an original seed funder of the LA Chapter of Positive Coaching Alliance. PCA-LA partners with the LA Galaxy Foundation providing coach, parent and athlete education to community partners in the Community Clinic Series, Galaxy Camps, and the inaugural High School Girls Summit.

PCA provides Character Development and Leadership training to Coaches, Parents and Athletes that teach life lesson through sports. Sports done right teaches grit, teamwork, perseverance, integrity, creativity, goal setting and more. PCA’s mission is to provide all kids with a positive sports experience so they play sports longer.
