Nicholas Wegman is a lacrosse player and swimmer from All Saints Academy. He is passionate about making himself the best athlete he can be. “Becoming an elite athlete comes down to two important characteristics: motivation and time. Time is the defining factor of life. What we do in our time ultimately defines everyone as a person. Motivation influences decisions that every person has to make about their time. In my free time, I am motivated to make myself a better athlete by playing sports year round, but more importantly, by putting in individual work at my own home. I am fortunate to swim and to play lacrosse competitively on teams that push my limits. I show up to practice hungry for success every day, and leave everything on the field or in the pool because I know that any day could be my last. I believe that this is extremely important for any athlete that desires success.”

Nicholas’ coach notes his versatility. “Nicholas Wegman is an outstanding competitor and all around student athlete. Nicholas has been a captain on varsity since 9th grade due to his leadership qualities. Nicholas leads by example everyday on and off the field. He is an excellent student and encourages his teammates to thrive in the classroom. Nicholas has helped his teammates with their studies because he truly cares about their success. He has made every single player on the team his friend. He comes to practice every single day with a positive attitude and smile on his face. Nicholas has put in time outside of practice to become a better individual player all around. I often see Nicholas practicing before and after practice on his own. He has come to lacrosse events in the community. He has truly helped the game grow in our community due to these reasons. Younger players look up to Nicholas because he is not only a good player but is also a great person. He has been our true leader over the past three years because he is our “do it all” guy.”
