Warren C. Woo is a Founder and Managing General Partner of Breakaway Capital Partners Fund, LP, a middle market direct lending and structured equity fund based in Los Angeles, CA. Previously, Mr. Woo was a Founding Partner and Managing Director at Moelis & Company. Prior to Moelis & Company, he served as Vice Chairman and Global Head of Financial Sponsors, Hedge Funds and Leveraged Finance of UBS Investment Bank. Mr. Woo was also a member of the Board of Directors, Global Management Committee and the Executive Committee of UBS Investment Bank. Prior to that, Mr. Woo spent ten years as a Managing Director and Head of West Coast Leveraged Finance at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. Mr. Woo began his investment banking career as an associate at Drexel Burnham Lambert in 1986.
Mr. Woo graduated from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1986 and graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from UCLA in 1982 with a B.A. in Economics.
Mr. Woo is an owner of the Nashville Predators Hockey Club of the National Hockey League. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the West Valley Wolves, a youth travel hockey club and a member of the Board of Trustees of Carlthorp School in Santa Monica, California. He is also a Senior Advisor to Park Lane Capital, a Los Angeles based sports investment bank. Mr. Woo and his family are very active in a number of charitable endeavors in the Los Angeles community.
