Chief Financial Officer
Cathie comes to PCA with 28 years of nonprofit, for-profit, and public accounting experience. Most recently, Cathie served more than six years as a CFO for Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley, wearing multiple hats and overseeing many aspects of this nonprofit organization, including Endowment and investment management, facilities operations, scholarship and allocations oversight and K-8 Day School strategic planning.
She worked several years as a CFO at Benchmark Capital, one of the premier venture capital firms in the Bay Area (investor of past and recent hits like eBay, Twitter, Instagram, and Zipcar), which gave Cathie skills and experience in working with fast-growing companies. Cathie began her career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and spent more than 10 years “growing up” and honing her accounting, strategic planning and client relationship skills in this demanding, excellent service organization.
Cathie graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Business Administration with an Accounting and Finance emphasis. She pursued graduate studies in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University. She is a CPA (inactive). Cathie has served on the Sports Booster Boards, played the roll of “team mom” for Archbishop Mitty’s high school football team and coached soccer when her kids were young enough to tolerate it. She has spent countless hours on the court, in the bleachers and on the sidelines and wouldn’t trade a minute of it.
Cathie lives in Willow Glen with her son Thomas, daughter Maddie, and her furry children Willie and Oliver. She has two grown step-children.
