Former USMC Officer
Trainer - New York City
Owen West rowed for the varsity crew team at Harvard before joining the United States Marine Corps as an infantry officer. While in the Marines, he represented the U.S. five times in the 400-mile Eco Challenge, one of the most challenging endurance races in the world. In 2001 he climbed to within 700 feet of the summit of Mount Everest on the technically challenging North Face. He has completed several Ironman triathlons and other endurance races. But things got even more challenging when he began coaching in a suburban sports hotbed. The father of two middle school boys, Owen has coached each of their teams in multiple sports for nearly a decade.
