Assistant Basketball Coach, Gavilan Community College
Trainer - SF Bay Area
While attending Prospect High School I participated in multiple sports including volleyball, basketball, and track & field. Upon high school graduation, I attended and played basketball at Foothill College, winning the first two Coast Conference banners in school history. From Foothill, I earned a full scholarship to play basketball at Northwood University in Michigan. Immediately upon graduation in 1998, I began coaching club basketball and high school at my alma mater, Prospect. In 2003 I began coaching Stevenson School, where we earned three conference titles in five seasons. In 2008 I then joined a brand new high school and developed the basketball program at Christopher High where we earned a conference title in our 2nd year as a varsity program. Currently I am in my second season as an assistant at Gavilan Community College in Gilroy, marking my 17th year coaching and mentoring young women. Each summer I spend time coaching youth camps with the Golden State Warriors and Snow Valley Basketball School in Iowa. In addition to coaching, I spent six years with the Bay Area Women’s Sports Initiative (BAWSI) empowering female athletes to use their platform towards positive change in their communities.
