Partner Support Manager, Los Angeles
Sarah joined PCA as Partner Support Manager for PCA-Los Angeles in 2016. In this role Sarah is responsible for assisting the LA chapter with the development and management of PCA partnerships. As PSM, she works closely with the Chapter Partnership Manager and Executive Director to maintain pro-active relationship with all PCA Partners in the chapter, primarily scheduling and coordinating workshops for those partners.
Sarah grew up in Hawaii, and began playing volleyball at the age of 10. She played volleyball through high school and college, earning numerous team and individual honors at all levels including: 2nd place in Hawaii state volleyball championship, All BIIF All Star honors and Player of the Year, All Pac 10 freshman team, and Player of the Year at Oregon, All-WAC 1st team honors consecutively (University of Hawaii). While at University of Hawaii, her team made a Sweet 16 and Elite 8 appearance, earning her All American honors her senior year.
Sarah fell in love with coaching in 2006 and has been coaching for 11 years now. Her love of coaching stems from the great coaches in her career and hopes to have the same impact on the athletes she encounters. Sarah expanded her knowledge and love of sports by pursuing a Master’s Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration. Sarah started her own All-American Volleyball Academy focusing on specific skills training and recruitment.
Sarah is married with three children. She loves spending time with her family and in her church community doing charitable work. Sarah is very active in all sports including tennis, basketball, football, boxing, surfing, hiking, and biking. She exercises her creative talents as a fashion designer and freelance artist. Sarah looks forward to applying her love of sports, coaching, and playing experience into the Positive Coaching Alliance in helping improve athletes as players and a people, so that they may emerge as healthy independent proactive leaders in society.
