Jon Melander

Former NFL Player

Jon was a multi-sport athlete at Fridley High School before accepting a scholarship to play football at the University of Minnesota where he earned Academic All Big Ten honors as a senior. After graduating from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management with a BSB-Finance degree, Jon was drafted in the 5th round of the 1990 NFL draft by the New England Patriots where he spent two seasons as an offensive lineman. Jon then played one season for the Cincinnati Bengals, starting 8 games, before finishing his football career starting 23 games in two years with the Denver Broncos.

Jon enjoyed coaching his three kids in their youth sports activities and now spends his leisure time cheering for his older son and daughter who are college student athletes as well as his youngest daughter who is a multi-sport student athlete in high school.

Jon is a Partner in the Wealth Management Division of the Accounting and Consulting Firm of Boulay, LLP. Jon has over 20 years of experience in working with families and individuals who aspire to be financially successful. Jon has earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designations.
