Colin McCafferty is the Managing Partner of Los Angeles-based McCafferty & Company, which he founded in 2006. The Company is a registered broker dealer and serves the global media, entertainment and technology industries.

Prior to founding McCafferty & Company, Mr. McCafferty was Director of Private Equity for Saban Capital Group, a media private equity fund, where he worked on the acquisition and turnaround of ProSiebenSat.1 among other transactions. Mr. McCafferty was previously an associate in the Goldman Sachs media group in New York, where he worked on numerous mergers, acquisitions and capital raises in the media and entertainment sector.

Mr. McCafferty’s media industry experience began at CBS Inc in New York. Responsibilities at CBS included production, advertising sales, strategic planning, and finance. Mr. McCafferty was nominated for two Emmy’s for his production work related to the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympic Games. He then attended Harvard Business School, where in addition to his studies; Mr. McCafferty founded iHoops.com, a media company which was later sold to Endgame Entertainment.

Mr. McCafferty received his MBA from Harvard University; he received his B.A. from Miami University, and studied at Sophia University in Japan. Mr. McCafferty is conversant in Japanese.

Mr. McCafferty serves on the Visiting Board of St. Ignatius School and lives in Manhattan Beach, California, with his wife and son.
