Joe Januszewski joined the Texas Rangers as Executive Vice President in January 2011. He is responsible for oversight of all team revenue streams, including Ticket Sales, Partnerships, Media Sales and Rangers Enterprises. Januszewski also leads the ballclub’s Marketing, Promotions, In-Game Entertainment, Ticket Operations and Community Outreach departments. Januszewski has spent the last 17 years in sales & marketing with three major league teams, including eight years with the Boston Red Sox, serving as a Senior Vice President, before re-joining the Rangers.

In four years, Rangers partnerships revenue has grown more than 150%. The club also reached a franchise single season high in overall partnership revenue each of the past four seasons. He led the team’s efforts to secure a naming rights partner for Rangers Ballpark, resulting in the 10-year partnership with Torchmark for Globe Life Park in Arlington, announced in February 2014.

Joe launched Rangers Destinations, a travel program that has brought fans on the road to several cities across the country over the past four years, including Boston, San Francisco, San Diego, Chicago and New York to see the Rangers play.

In Joe’s tenure in Boston, the Red Sox corporate sales department grew revenues 300% and saw the number of sponsors increase 100% to over 100 corporate clients. Joe also oversaw Fenway Enterprises, which sells and operates non-baseball events at Fenway Park, including ballpark-wide special events, corporate meetings and weddings, as well as the operation of the team’s year-round tour and mascot programs. Januszewski built and guided the club’s membership programs, which include Red Sox Nation and Kid Nation. Red Sox Nation is the largest team-run fan club in Major League Baseball. In 2004, Joe launched Red Sox Kid Nation, the first kids club in team history and the largest kids club in the Majors.

More recently, Januszewski was part of the business team that led the successful acquisition of Liverpool Football Club for Fenway Sports Group in October, 2010. He also worked with Fenway Sports Management since its creation in 2004, serving most recently as Senior Vice President selling local, national and international properties for the sales agency.

Joe joined the Red Sox as Director, Corporate Partnerships in December 2002. Previous to coming to Boston, he worked for three years with the San Diego Padres as Manager, Corporate Development. He started his professional sports career in his home state with the Rangers, working in the corporate sales department from January-October 1999. Prior to that, he worked in the film industry in production for 10 years.

The University of Texas at Austin graduate has a bachelor’s degree in Radio-TV-Film and a Masters of Education specializing in sports management. He serves on the Advisory Board of the College of Education at UT-Austin, the Board of the North Texas Chapter of the Positive Coaching Alliance, is a Director of Bantu Rovers, a professional soccer club in Zimbabwe, and is on the Ambassadors Council of Grassroot Soccer, a non-profit focused on eradicating HIV/AIDS in Africa.
