Executive Director, Chicago
Tai is a native Chicagoan, and graduate of the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, where she also served as Head Varsity Girls’ Basketball Coach from 2009-2014. She has seven years of youth sports coaching experience, including her current role as an AAU Girls’ Basketball Coach and Basketball Skills Trainer at Flow Basketball Academy. Tai joins PCA after a successful legal and business career including serving as Assistant Corporation Counsel at the City of Chicago Department of Law in the Labor Division, Director and Corporate Liaison in the Office of the Chief Executive Officer of Ariel Investments, and as an independent business consultant for sports and fitness companies.
In 2004, Tai graduated from Grinnell College with a B.A. in Sociology and a concentration in Gender and Women’s Studies. At Grinnell, Tai was co-captain of the varsity women’s basketball team during her senior year and received Academic All-Midwest Conference honors as well as Second Team All-Midwest Conference Honors for athletic performance. She is a 2008 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law, where she received the Dean’s Achievement Award, and served as an Associate Note and Comment Editor for The Journal of Gender, Race and Justice. Tai is a member of the Lookingglass Theatre Junior Board, Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation Board of Directors, and B.I.G. Baseball Academy's Advisory Board.
