​Jim is a licensed instructor for the CYSA "F" and Goalkeeper course. He has 20 years coaching both adults and children and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Coach Broshar’s playing experience includes: Lowell High School, UC Berkeley Varsity, San Francisco Soccer Football League, and East Bay Over 30 Soccer League.

Jim's coaching experience includes: Alameda – Contra Costa YSL, St Mary's College HS, Berkeley: Girls Varsity Head Coach, Mills College, Assistant Varsity Coach, Golden Gate Women's Soccer league: Various teams, Gay Games 1986, Berkeley Women: Bronze medal and with the San Francisco Vikings where is the current coach of the the Girls 2008 Vikings Gjoa Red (U9) and Girls 2004 Vikings Courage White (U13) teams.

Additionally, he has taken two Soccerfuturo trips to São Paolo, Brazil with youth teams, most recently with his SFVSC U13 boy’s team in June 2011. This enriching trip included a weeklong stay playing games, futsal and training with Brazilian coaches. Overall, it was an experience that taught players what true devotion, commitment and passion for the game looks like, creating an unbelievable atmosphere of friendship and camaraderie between our players and their Brazilian counterparts.​
