Marketing Executive, IBM
Chapter Board - Central Texas
I am a successful marketing and sales professional with almost 20 years of B2B experience, including over 10 years of management. Adept at market, industry, persona and account-specific research and analysis, as well as content creation and delivery, my focus is on creating a targeted, interesting, and relevant journey for the customer, partner, or influencer. My experience includes creating and executing marketing activities and strategies for multi-billion dollar companies as well as start-ups; specializing in turn-arounds, brand development, and building/developing new teams and solutions.
I began my career in sales, managing millions in revenue targets annually, and becoming proficient in delivering and leading both face to face and virtual persuasive meetings and presentations. I then transitioned into strategy, advising marketing and sales teams on various issues, including political, market, licensing, and procurement strategies, go-to-market planning, product introduction, customer experience, demand generation, thought leadership, and PR.
Finding that I truly enjoyed the marketing side of the business, I then transitioned into marketing as the division marketing manager for a start up organization within a large company. From there, I have exceled at creating new brands, helping to turn around struggling brands, and building new solutions, teams, and customer sets.
I am an experienced leader, having managed various sizes and permutations of teams, both on-site and virtual, direct and cross-functional. I am also an avid athlete and coach, having played volleyball, basketball and softball in high school, and volleyball in college. I minored in coaching at North Carolina State University and have coached various teams, from my son's basketball team to club level travel volleyball.
