Shelley Alingas is a digital marketing specialist and multimedia storyteller from San Diego. Following her love for the world’s oceans and surf, she moved to the East Coast after graduating from the University of California, Santa Cruz to work with environmental advocacy organizations including the American Wind Energy Association and Potomac Riverkeeper.
Missing her home state, Shelley accepted a marketing position at the University of San Francisco where she transformed the university’s email marketing strategy and was a key contributor to the innovation award nominated social media project, #USFCA.
Her pivot into the sport industry came from a long-awaited passion that started in childhood with her love of baseball. Since enrolling in the USF Sport Management master’s program and working for Cal Athletics at the beginning of 2016, Shelley has produced content for San Francisco City Football Club, hosted the first Women Sports Film Festival, and continues to be a freelance sports writer.
When she’s not working, Shelley loves to explore the world through food, travel, dance, reading, and writing. Shelley currently resides in San Francisco with her rescue kitten, Campbell.
