PCA-North Texas’s Associate Board is comprised of professionals from all fields, sports, business, education and beyond, who are committed to supporting PCA’s mission of developing Better Athletes, Better People.

Associate Board Mission

  • Spread the word that sports done right creates BETTER ATHLETES, BETTER PEOPLE
    • PCA supports positive coaching which values winning, but more importantly values teaching life lessons and building character through an emphasis on effort, mastery, resilience, teamwork, humility, hard work, and generosity
    • PCA stands up against a win-at-all-cost mentality in youth and high school sports
    • PCA helps keep kids in sports – 70% quit sports by age 13
    • PCA works with youth sports organizations, schools, colleges and universities to provide training and resources for parents, coaches, leaders and student-athletes to put everyone on the same page with the ultimate goal of giving everyone a positive, character-building sports experience
  • Help move PCA-North Texas and its programs forward
  • Raise funds through membership and social events
  • Help build an even stronger network of philanthropic supporters
  • Ensure PCA-North Texas grows strategically and financially through fundraising opportunities
  • Use the power of sports done right to develop character and leadership among young North Texas athletes
  • Increase the impact of PCA-North Texas

  • Gain leadership experience through committee and board involvement
  • Have fun while giving back!


  • Commit a minimum of 5 hours monthly to PCA-North Texas ranging from meetings, events, award ceremonies and fundraising opportunities
  • Attend 4-6 meetings/events per year – meetings will often be scheduled around sporting events, PCA workshops, PCA fundraisers, social/networking events, etc.
  • Serve on a specific committee (chaired by member of the Executive Board)
  • Make a modest annual financial contribution and support the chapters fundraising efforts
  • 1 year term/commitment (renewable)
  • Some of the ways you can support PCA:
    • Assist in the implementation of award programs for coaches and student-athletes
    • Volunteer at fundraisers and partners in underserved communities
    • Introduce PCA to coaches or leaders at youth sports organizations, schools, colleges or universities
    • Attend and give feedback on PCA workshops
